We have all signatures now. Sigma2 and EISCAT.

Quote from CA:

  • CSC, SNIC, UNINETT Sigma2 The three NPs, CSC, SNIC, UNINETT Sigma2, will provide 0.75 FTEs (0.25 FTE each of the three) and e-infrastructure resources (including computing, storage and networks) as in-kind contributions.

  • FIR filter code available.
  • Testing on national provider hardware (AVX256/512)
  • Aid from national provider staff to understand perforemance.
  • Started to consider the input simulated data (FSRU output)
    • Harri onto this with the FSRU project

  • Still to be determined. CodeRefinery project in phase 2 now...

Comment: Craig: Agree. Three day workshop too long for us.

Milestone 2

Question: Tomasz: Is there now a person in charge of software? A: Craig: We have completed the interviews. Have a verbal agreement to join. Need to wait for the Head of Admin to return. We don't know officially the notice period at the other end.

Q: Tomasz: What type of work is foreseen? A: Craig: Will be part of EISCAT_3D team. Mostly the FPGA-level work and interfaces.

Q: Tomasz: Will there be a percentage of time for E3DDS? A: Craig: To be determined. Will work under the Project Manager Johan Svensson.

C: Craig: Will work first on the output to ring-buffer. (Good!)
