WHAT IS B2SHARE?
B2Share is a cross-disciplinary file sharing service for scientists across Europe. The service, developed by EUDAT, is available to try at http://b2share.eudat.eu
WHAT IS B2SHARE NORDIC?
The B2Share Nordic project aims to engage Nordic research communities to customize the B2Share file sharing service to best suit the need of Nordic research communities. The project is owned by NeIC - Nordic e Infrastructure Collaboration.
- The Project kickoff was held on January 30th, in Stockholm. The event was very successful attracting interest from six different Nordic research communities. Did you miss the event? Don't worry, there still is some time for new communities to join our collaborative efforts - please contact us!
- First customized metadata interfaces defined during the project for Biomedical Research Studies are already being implemented. The metadata fields, filled by the user upon uploading datasets, will allow researchers to find relevant datasets through both B2Share and other services, such as B2Find, that harvests metadata records from B2Share.
- During the project, a sustainability plan for the B2Share service will be prepared. We have a vision of a long-lifetime service provided by an established Nordic datacenter.
- The B2Share Nordic will be presented on March 25th in Dublin at the EUDAT training sessions in association with the Research Data Alliance (RDA) plenary held there on 26-27th March: http://www.eudat.eu/training/eudat-training-fundamentals-data-infrastructures
- B2Share Nordic project public files will be available at NeIC Wiki, https://wiki.neic.no/wiki/B2Share_Nordic
