NLPL SG 20-02 Status of the Project / Virtual Laboratory, lessons learnt

There is three remaining milestones:

  • A final project report. A drafted is sent to the SG by the end of next week 4(24 January), agreed one week for SG comments/approval (31 January).
  • A cost-benefit analysis. The cost-benefit is hard to quantify. The NLPL project has shown how a community can be self serviced. Associates are currently locked out of the the virtual laboratory due to national providers not having taken any decision on a "community" allocation for the NLPL special interest group. The associates wants to get back in. That goes at least for the NLP groups at University of Gothenburg and University of Stockholm.
  • ITU's deliverables. ITU has promised the deliverables soon (week 4).

NLPL SG 20-03 The NLPL Winter School

The NLPL Winter School are held at Skeikampen on the 2-4 February, 2020. There is 49 participants (including instructor(s)).

NLPL SG 20-04 NeIC Affiliate programme

NeIC Affiliate program accepted by NeIC Board in December 2019 and officially inaugurated on 2020-01-15. It is meant to enhance the benefits and impacts after the projects' completion. All concluded NeIC projects and activities are eligible to participate, advertise their highlights on the Affiliate website and apply annually for NeIC financial support. The deadline to apply for support (0 - 2500 Euro) is Feb 1st, decisions are to be made be the end of Feb 2020.

Stephan Oepen has contacted NeIC on behalf of NLPL inquiring about the possibility to cover the bus to Skeikampen (~17 kNOK) from the Affiliate programme funds.

Decision: As an exception, NeIC is put as Skeikampen bus invoice recipient, prior to the Affiliate support decisions. In case Affiliate programme financial support is not granted to NLPL or the amount granted is smaller than requested, NeIC will handle afterwards with Stephan how to get the money back.

NLPL SG 20-05 Benefit realisation

The NLPL business benefits realisation and business change plans have been discussed and updated:
