This page describes who are eligible for what kind of reimbursements from NeIC funds.

NeIC covers work and travel costs within NeIC activities according to the following:

  • Named personnel in NeIC activities (projects or operations) generally have service contracts that cover hours and travel costs as well as overhead.
  • Other travel costs are evaluated on a case by case basis. Preferred method is to send bills.

Project reference group work can be covered to different degrees depending on the type and extent of services rendered:

  • Part of normal duties in positions outside of NeIC: travel costs on request.
  • Very minor: travel costs on request.
  • Minor: nominal compensation plus travel costs on request.
  • Major: considered project work; covered by standard service contract (includes travel costs and overhead).

NeIC does not pay for:

  • NeIC does not pay people to participate in committees.
  • NeIC does not cover work that is already funded through other means, such as normal duties in positions outside of NeIC.

Examples

  • The NeIC board representatives are appointed by the NeIC owners. Participation is thus part of normal duties in positions outside of NeIC, and is thus not eligible for hours compensation.
  • Working groups and committees such as the provider forum and the pooling competencies working group are appointed by owners. Participation is thus part of normal duties in positions outside of NeIC, and is thus not eligible for hours compensation.
  • Project steering group members are appointed by partners. Participation is thus part of normal duties in positions outside of NeIC, and is thus not eligible for hours compensation.
