Experimenting the funding model:
- CodeRefinery2: collaboration agreement with the providers - timeshifted budget (will not affect people hosting an actual workshop)
- EISCAT_3D project contract partners
- Impact analysis, more news to come
- Strategy process - 14 proposals recd, process ongoing selecting
- WP6 in our INFRAEOSC project (for input to identify NeIC Services for EOSC funding application)NOSC activities will be a part of our framework (the NOSC programme)
- More clear terms are needed, should we add trainings? If adding training endangers the success of the proposal it is better not to put it there. 2018-9-2 1st draft due - focus on pool comp. aspect
- Decision: AM Bach taking care of the PoCo aspect.
- ?arrange a workshop in the NeIC2019 May 14-16th 2019 in Tivoli Hotel, CPH - open science=theme 2-3 hours https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RE4YDdKy-LQ5KrRgFQ3Lwv6Igp40YrEKtdt8YGbTHeM/edit
Possible subjects discussed:
- Maybe (MBo) software engineering on HPC
- (JH) CodeRefinery & software engineering practise
- (MBa) prefer Hands-on workshop and FAIR aspects
- Include aspects of WP6,(AMB) collection on online training materials, best place to store and find (Hands-on training)
Travel grants and subprojects
Discussions on the Ratatosk budget, Data mgt activity is also covered in the ratatosk budget app. 20,000 maybe more if a workshop will be executed
DigHum Ph.1 proposal for prolonging, unspent budget, but many prolongings. The analysis to be will be based on what - a poor Questionnaire? The data quality is it good enough to do the analysis? Please advise more on the analysis work.
Decision: Prolonging decided/ accepted. The prolonging must include budget specifying tasks and deadlines in proposal for phase 2, also a final report must be handed in by December 31, 2018.
Collection on online training materials - should we have our own youtube, our own collection
- AP AMB will make a place on the wiki/web, and show it next time
- AP AMB add on to our course mobility program - production of online course material, available to a broader audience
- AP everybody read thru the WP by September 7, 2018
Decision: SG recommend to take up the Travel Grants again
Recap
Please note the NeIC director decided not take up the travel grants due to limited funds (limited power in the SG).
Data Mgt. report “Open Science in the Nordics” by Andreas Jaunsen will be shown to NeIC Board in Sept. 2018, publication (after language check and layout) is planned for this fall. Following up on the suggestions in this report there is also a FAIR awareness workshop planned still in 2018.
