Hiring process for NeIC

Background: NeIC hires staff mainly in three categories; project staff, project managers, executive team.

Hiring routine: In general, the director hires the executive team (including project owners). The director, assisted by the project owner hires the project manager, but in dialogue with the project steering group. Note that we frequently receive PM applications from project partners who are also represented in the project steering group, so it is difficult in practise due to CoI to involve the SG directly in the hiring. The project staff is hired by the project manager, but in dialogue with the relevant partners. Practical considerations and CoI may lead to deviations from the routine.

Hiring policy: NeIC facilitates collaboration on e-infrastructure in the Nordic countries and has five national providers as main partners. We look for highly qualified candidates that can contribute to strengthening our collaboration at the project level, nurture our organisation and/or support the development and implementation of our strategy. NeIC gives preference to recruiting within the collaborating institutions in the Nordic countries.
