Information
- Chalemer got the WASP infrastructure 7 meuro pending contract negotiations
- Raymond will become temprary lead of UiB HPC group in Norway
- Raymond will represnt UIB in Metacenter cooperation
Weeks Presentation by Raymond: UH IaaS OpenStack at UiB
- two regions of UH IaaS
- Alice and Atlas in OpenStack
- Change backend storage for Gnocci
- Cyborg can't be used together with Nova
- Atlas partion has AMD Rome 48 cores and Centos7
- Raymond couild write about NUMA nodes setup
- Atlas is with UiO (40% Alice in Bergen 60% Atlas in Oslo)
- Some models of P100:s support vGPU:s and some not Licenses are quite expensive. CSC dedicates full GPU:s
Status:
- Apurva: have got Kafka running in private openshift environement but will move it to Rahti. Wait for Markus ML algorithms for doing real time weather predictions
- Oliver: working on wrapping up things first draft of Kubeflow report *
- Anders: extend olivers workflow into one of the SSC clouds, running rancher to admin Kubernetes.
- Ingemar: working on OpenStack upgrade. Upgrade at CS3E is finished. Bought new AMD Epic Rome for Ceph and do a completely new install.
- DELL R7515 2U 12 disks setup. Also looked at the ones with more disk but did not have the config.
- Single CPU 16core 2thread version. 25gbit connectivity between servers. 128GB RAM perserver
