Glenna2 Focus Meeting on AI February 15th 2019

Status

• Work on KubeFLow progressing but difficult to install on OpenShift
  • issue related to root requirements
  • work in progress in the community, optimistic this will work

Oliver:

• Haste project in Sweden Ola's ölab participates:
• The HASTE project takes a hierarchical approach to acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of image data.
• We develop computationally efficient measurements for data description, confidence-driven machine learning for determination of interestingness, and a theory and framework to apply intelligent spatial and temporal information hierarchies, distributing data to computational resources and storage options based on low-level image features.

Ola's lab has Kubeflow up and running *

Gurvinder & Oliver:

• The task would be to highlight the differences in philosophy between the the Norwegian Nird platform and the KubeFlow environment.

• Salman would like to propogate these two

• This project requires GPU which Ola has in their group

SSC does not have GPU:s

CSC will get a large installation in 3Q 2019
