1. News from the project: Glenna2 midterm report 

  - NeIC board wishes to see more applications on top of infrastructure

Dan participate Gurvinder & Olav 2. Site review: IaaS status in Norway, Sweden and Finland 

 Ingemar: upgrading queens skip queens go to Rocky. Chalmer getting a bit more hardware 
 Johan: only hardw focus rigth now. Throwing away oldest cpouta in DC, depricating flavors, HY installing some 20 nodes, VGPU will not work for CSC 
 migrating control plane vm:s off old hardware, pci passthrough

Raymond: looking in to Cyborgh need to do passthrough. Introduced Alice on OpenStack cluster. Is Ceph good enough for Alice Mathias asked Johan same thing in Summit 3. Impressions from OpenStack Summit 2018 4. SIG CISS Berlin 5. Project tasks for end of 2018 and 2019 

  - NeIC visibility (Horizon log in screen or equiv?)

Target 4 Ceph Configuration and Support Duration : 6+6 months Description: Ceph is a free-software storage platform, implements object storage on a single distributed computer cluster which provides interfaces for object-, block- and file-level storage (all national OpenStack providers currently deploy Ceph). The work would focus on best practice solution(s) for architectural setup, benchmarking, access patterns, staging and how to mitigate bottlenecks. In addition solutions for better application scalability and how to setup Rados gateway API:s and how to perform proper maintenance for both object and block store will be investigated. The target will include support for expected object based storage needs within the Glenna2 use cases.

Deliverable : Report with associated configuration descriptions
