1. Review of last meeting and News

Kalle gave an update on the DL2021 procurement at CSC CSC aiming at Ceph for DataLake and seprate Lustre:s for HPC machines.

Ingemar: about 1mkr for upgrading cloud.

2. Glenna2 IaaS Items

Spectre & Meltdown Intel has released beta firmware upgrades Meltdown doesnt affect CSC seems to be hard to exploit Spectre RK: Dell has released new firmware upgrades. Intel released 28.2. to vendors

RK: In Norway Ceph has the a problem is that they want to use both Posix and object storage at the same time and us the CephFS. Kalle: CSC will not use CephFS. Weather data set in Bergen you don't want to copy in and out. UiO just ordered some hardware for a Ceph cluster. Gard setting up Ceph cluster at UiO

RK: Is anyone from Oslo working in Glenna2

AP No one yeat after Eivind that moved to Svalbard. Dan check that out!

Gnocci up and running and collecting data.

Gnocci supports Cephfs which is the next plan in Bergen.

Gnocci has grafana support but you need to change all the queries

AP on Raymond: write a short review on the Gnocci work for Glenna2. Kalle: if we get direct gnocci grafana integration we could do some nice things Raymond to google if someone is working on that. RK: Gnocchi commadn line query are superfast

IF: nice to take Gnocchi into use RK: IP addresses are scarce in Bergen There are IP ranges for sale Google etc approx 15 euro/address push people to ipv6

1000 ipv4 addresses is 18$ per address

RK and colleague are going to openstack meet in Vancouver. Two guys from Sweden and at least Johan Guldmyr from Finland
