The B2Share Nordic project aims to engage Nordic research communities into customizing the B2Share file sharing service, developed by EUDAT, to best suit the need of Nordic researchers. The project is owned by NeIC - Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration.
- Naturhistoriska riksmuseet (NRM) in Sweden has sent a metadata specification. Mikael Karlsson will implement it within the following weeks. NRM is the second community to have a metadata interface implemented in B2Share after the Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure (BBMRI).
- Elena Kozlovskaya visited CSC to discuss the implementation of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS) collaboration proposal regarding B2SHARE (upload and deposit of seismic data generated since the 80’s in several European countries) the discussion was very fruitful and the prospects for collaboration very promising.
- The second workshop was held at CSC in Finland Tuesday the 17th of June. Michaela, Sarah, Carl-Johan, Mikael and Dan were present. The agenda included an overview of the communities we are approaching and the status of the B2Share Nordic efforts. We also reviewed the deliverables and discussed how a template for a SLA intended towards potential future production service might look like. Thank you all for the very nice and lively discussion, it was great to have you here in Finland!
