Session theme: Software provisioning

Target of the workshop:

• Share information how software provisioning for users is done at the moment
• Decide which concrete tasks or test cases we start implementing now in Tryggve, and who will work on these

Programme: (draft)

• Software provisioning & Registry in Tryggve, introduction by Antti (10 mins)
• Tools registry - at Elixir Denmark , philsophy and background Ali & Piotr (20 mins)
• Software provisioning, Erland (10 mins)
• Dockers and containers - first experiences at USIT, Abdulrahman (20 mins)

• Discussion on topic, e.g.:
  • Can we find commonalities between locations on software provision
  • How to enable researchers easy access to software at secure environments
  • How to reduce the related administration workload

• Decisions:
  • Which tasks and test cases will be started
  • Appoint responsible persons and participants for the selected tasks

Target of the workshop:

• introduce use cases
• initial look on the requirements of the use cases
• review technical feasibility of use cases ("prioritization")
• assign responsible person and a team for each use case implementation

  • feasibility and requirements of use cases

• Collect and discuss results of group works (30 min)
